Five enthusiastic Open House fans from three countries and five cities came to Estonia as part of a volunteer exchange program.
Our festival welcomed Laia from Barcelona, Koldo from Bilbao, Miguel from Lisbon, Gaia from Milan, and Pau from Valencia. On Saturday, they enjoyed exploring the Open House Tallinn program, visiting Linnahall, the Noblessner Quarter, and Südalinna Theatre. Sunday was more hands-on — they joined our large volunteer team and helped out at Kopli Kindergarten, the Estonian History Museum and Maarjamäe Castle, Tõnismäe State Gymnasium, Ülemiste City, and Pelgulinna State Gymnasium.
They also took part in the lively volunteer appreciation evening, where they joined a quiz and heard stories from other volunteers.
Thank you for coming!
The volunteer exchange program is organized within the framework of the Open House Europe project. Its goal is to promote cultural diversity, share experiences to strengthen Open House festivals across Europe, and offer meaningful opportunities for volunteers who make these festivals possible.
