The eighth edition of the Open House Tallinn architecture festival takes place from October 9 to 11, 2026, opening the doors to nearly 40 buildings and offering 14 special events as part of its special programme. Open House Tallinn provides opportunities to visit places that are usually closed to the public.

“It is a pleasure to see that public interest in Open House Tallinn remains high every year. This is truly an extraordinary opportunity to see and experience architecture and buildings that are normally closed to visitors. Our main goal is to encourage people to take an interest in what is happening around them—what constitutes a good urban space, inclusive architecture, and what stories lie behind the buildings surrounding us every day,” adds Kristiina Reidolv, head of the Estonian Centre for Architecture.

The programme includes many buildings and tours that do not require advance registration. The festival encourages visitors to explore the programme and arrive for the tours with plenty of time to spare.
There are 13 new buildings in the programme. For the first time, Open House Tallinn allows access to the following locations: Dominican Monastery Museum, Estonian Museum of Hygiene and Healthcare, Former Seppo Clinic Building, Hopner House, Courthouse on Pärnu Road, Lasnamäe Circular Economy Centre, Pirita Open Air Center, Pirita District Government, Sakala 3 Theatre House, Tallinn Open School, Tallinn Business Incubator, TTK University of Applied Sciences, Vana-Lõuna Tram Depot.

Locations returning to the programme from previous years include: BLRT Group, Drama School of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Bank of Estonia, National Library of Estonia, Estonian Swedbank Headquarters in the Arter Quarter, ERR – Television Building, Fotografiska, Hundipea District and Paljassaare Harbour, Kadriorg Park Orangery, Kalev Yacht Club, Joint Building of Ministries, Hotel Palace, Pelgulinn State Upper Secondary School, Heart of the City Theatre, Tallinn Art Hall, Tallinn Methodist Church, Academy of Sciences, Toompea Castle and Riigikogu, Ülemiste Water Treatment Plant, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Office of the Chancellor of Justice.
