Located next to Tallinn Airport on the historical site of the Dvigatel Factory, Ülemiste City is the largest and fastest-growing business district in the Baltics. The most recent addition to the district is the Alma Tomingas Building, completed at the end of 2022. The architectural design, inspired by user-centric and user-friendly principles, emerged from an international invited architecture competition, won by the PLUSS architectural firm. Another key focus was energy and environmental sustainability, resulting in the building receiving a LEED Gold certification.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an international certification for buildings that adhere to principles of environmental conservation and sustainable development in their design, construction, and operation. The Alma Tomingas Building houses office spaces, a car showroom, a clinic, and a restaurant. The most eye-catching elements of the building include a 21-meter high glass atrium and a tropical climate palm garden located next to the main entrance.

Sustainable Solutions (Building Futures Together):

The 11-story Alma Tominga office building has been awarded the LEED Gold certification for energy and environmental sustainability, and solar panels have been installed here. The building is designed to be versatile, allowing it to be transformed into a hotel or apartment building by changing room layouts as needed.

The building utilizes green energy and benefits from the Utilitas district heating and cooling system installed last year.
