The building at Staapli 10 is one of the most striking examples of reviving historical industrial architecture in Noblessner. Originally built in 1912–1913 as a boiler house and power station, it served the Peter the Great Naval Fortress and was part of the Tallinn Mine Harbour complex. It is one of the few preserved military buildings in Estonia, with its historic exterior and chimney surviving through the decades and placed under heritage protection in 2014. During the Soviet era, silicate brick extensions were added, but the core structure remained distinctive with its red clay brick walls.

In 2021, the building’s owner, real estate developer Invego, carried out a thorough renovation of the complex. The architectural solution was created in collaboration with Apex Architecture Bureau and KOKO interior architects. The goal was to merge old and new, preserve significant details, and create a modern working environment with excellent indoor climate. Special attention was paid to acoustics, ventilation, and bright design solutions to highlight the building’s proportions and create a homely atmosphere. The result is a dignified office building where historical heritage supports modern functionality and enriches the unique identity of the Noblessner district.
