One of the newest high-rises in the Maakri Quarter, Skyon, stands out from the previously constructed tower buildings in the area with its slender shape and highly distinctive facade. Particularly in the evening, thanks to its dynamic lighting, the facade transforms, consisting of rectangles divided into triangles that form a unique multicolored pattern. In creating this architectural solution, an effort was made to blend the urban impact with the historical buildings in the city environment. Skyon, with its height of 95 meters, encompasses 26 floors, and in addition to offices, the building houses several commercial spaces. The main tenant, Coop Pank, is joined by various IT firms, law firms, and financial companies in the building.

Sustainable Solutions (Building Futures Together):

To maintain a consistent indoor climate, the façade is designed with triple glazing, which saves on heating and cooling costs. Throughout the entire building, only LED lights are used, which are energy-efficient and help minimize light pollution. All common area lights are equipped with motion sensors to conserve electricity when it is not needed. Electronic faucets are used in all restrooms to ensure convenience and save water by up to 50%.

The Building Automation and Control System (BACS) is an automation system that allows for the efficient and responsive management of the building’s technical systems, controlling heating, ventilation, and cooling. The building’s heating is connected to the city’s district heating system. Office temperatures can be individually regulated in each room. Automation ensures that rooms are not heated and cooled simultaneously. The cooling system can be adjusted according to working hours to minimize energy consumption at other times. Meeting rooms and public areas are equipped with smart CO2 sensors that increase air exchange as needed. The white roof reflects sunlight and thereby avoids additional cooling costs.

SKYON is being constructed in accordance with the LEED Gold certification requirements.
