Open House Tallinn 2025 partner LAUFEN answered our questions about the urban space and future heritage.
What changes should we make in urban space now to ensure it will be more valuable in the future?
Urban space needs people – and their active role in shaping the environment around them. A future-proof city should be people-friendly, multifunctional, and full of greenery – a place where living, working, and daily services are in balance and located close to each other.
Which building or area in Tallinn could become an architectural heritage site for future generations?
A great example is the Volta Quarter. It combines industrial heritage, green thinking, and community-oriented urban space. In addition, LAUFEN solutions have been integrated into the area, adding a distinctive layer of environmental awareness and long-term architectural value.
Which technology, method, or standard might be widely used in construction or architecture in 10–15 years?
One important example is LAUFEN’s Save! project, which enables much more sustainable water use in construction and architecture.
Thank You!
